Our workshop series
West End Workshop provides informative, dynamic, fun dance and theatre workshops for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 students. We are a dance and theatre education company dedicated to enriching each child's learning by exposing them to the world of dance and theatre.
Our unique workshops fit within the PE curriculum and are created and facilitated by West End theatre and dance professionals. We deliver a range of rewarding workshops that which focus on expanding children’s creativity and physical literacy, often linking with cross-curricular work. Sessions are tailored to each Key Stage.
Our growing series of of workshops currently fall into two categories:
Page to STAGE - taking well-known books and creating a performance
World of DANCE - learning about movement and culture
We provide teachers with bespoke Teacher Resource Packs, filled with dozens of fresh ideas to take the workshop back to the classroom and continue learning.
Through our dance workshops, children can develop:
Fundamental movement skills and balance, agility and coordination
Verbal and non verbal communication of ideas and emotions
Team working and other PSHE skills
Responding to music and other stimuli
Observation and spatial awareness
